Right click the project in the Solution window and select Options to open the Project Options dialog. Then go to the Build - Custom Commands section. Here you can create a command that will be run on certain project events and can replace existing actions such as the Build itself: • Before Build • Build • After Build • Before Clean • Clean • After Clean • Custom Command So you could have webpack run before every build. Hi JPL, The update 1 link is correct even though it downloads OfficeToolsForVS2015.exe which is the same as what you used in August. It launches the Web Platform Installer pointing to the entry for the latest update of the Office Developer Tools. What's changed is on the backend of the Web Platform Installer is that it will download new files as part of this. In this case, you should see that there is a new 'Microsoft Office Developer Tools Update 1 for Visual Studio 2015' if you click on the 'Items to be Installed' link at the bottom left of the Web Platform Installer. When I click on the direct download link in this UI, it downloads a CBABundle.exe which was signed on Nov 12. When it's installed you should see the updated new project templates mentioned at the beginning of this post. If you are seeing something different than this on your machine do let us know.

How To Uninstall Visual Studio Community 2015

@KM: We have indeed renamed the Add-ins that were created by VSTO to simply 'VSTO Add-ins' so that the term would be distinct, yet familiar to users. These are indeed supported and in fact, we've recently updated them to support Office 2016. The power and flexibility of VSTO Add-ins has the trade-off that it will only run in the Windows Desktop version of Office which may be the right choice given your scenario. The Office team has also been working at making significant improvements in the new Office Add-in capabilities recently.

We'd like to hear if you have any particular scenarios that aren't well-supported. Recently I have been looking into the JavaScript API for word document. MY question is very specific to my needs which is, “How do I add a Video in word document using new Office Javascript API?” If I were developing a VSTO add-in then that can be done using following code: Globals.ThisAddIn.Application.ActiveDocument.InlineShapes.AddWebVideo(@””, VideoWidth: 400, VideoHeight: 400, PosterFrameImage: “Range: currentRange); But I’m not able to find exact reference for such implementation.
